My education: Bachelor of Kinesiology from California Baptist University, AS degree in Physical Education, and Diploma for Personal Training from CNI College.

2.What is your fitness philosophy or training approach?

My fitness philosophy is a holistic one. I take into account the many aspects of human health and teach my clients that health is multidimensional. While physical fitness/movement is critical to human health; sleep, nutrition/supplementation, stress, detox pathways, hydration status, and emotional state also play an important role in achieving long-lasting optimal health, aesthetics, and high performance inside the gym and outside the gym.

3.What are your specific areas of expertise within fitness?

I feel I am strong in the areas of Strength and Conditioning, HIIT, Corrective Exercise/Functional Movement Patterns, Nutrition, and Supplementation.

4. Can you share a success story or memorable client achievement you've been a part of?

I have helped many clients over the years in various aspects of their health journeys. My experience ranges from helping clients overcome a particular injury or physical setback, improving one’s posture, setting new PRs for strength, or getting ready for upcoming events such as a race or police academy, etc. I do, however, have one particular remembrance of a client I helped when I was working as a master trainer at LA Fitness in La Habra CA. This client of mine was over 200lb at just 5’4”, was suffering from joint pain throughout her entire body, and was on various medications for type 2 diabetes. After a short 6 months of training with me and following my advice for changing her lifestyle habits, nutrition, sleep habits, etc. She was able to lose over 40lb (all fat weight), lose over 8” in circumference in her waist and hips, gained over 15 lb LBM, and got off all her meds except for one (she was taking over 7 as I recall)! She was featured on the wall at the gym where I worked as one of the most profound transformations.

5. What sets you apart as a trainer?

I feel like my easy going demeanor and my careful attention to detail is what sets me apart more than the many certifications/skills I have acquired over the years. I care for my clients, and I’m all about delivering results and helping my clients to the best of my abilities and skill set.

6. What are your personal fitness interests or hobbies outside of work?

In my spare time, I like to detail cars, go on challenging adventures like hiking or obstacle course races, attend church, spend quality time with family/friend/my dog Baxter, attend theater and concerts, and try new/exotic foods from various cultures, and researching anything and everything health-related and biohacking/human performance.
